One packet of these seeds plant about a 150 ft. row, and the plant takes about 56 days to mature. They grow into a 5 inch round pod, and have good disease resistance. Beans are not only good for you, but they also taste good andare easy to grow. You can grow bush beans, which are small, self-supportingplants that bear quickly; or pole snap beans, which are tall, vigorous, productivevines. Beans are delicious when eaten fresh, frozen, or canned.
When and where to plant
Select a sunny location and plant when all danger of frostis past and the soil has warmed. For best results, loosen soil with spade orfork, fertilize with vegetable food and smooth with rake. Firm soil over seedand keep moist. Plant bush types every 3 weeks.
Care
Support pole beans with stout poles, trellis, string, orwire. Water by soaking soil, to reduce danger of disease.
Harvesting
Pick regularly when pods are 4-6”/10-15cm, or before sides bulge.
