- Plant outdoors in early spring to summer, and again in fall for winter crops in mild climates. Prefers full sun and consistent watering. Can withstand a mild frost. Acidic soil will stunt growth.
- Snip off outer leaves at the base of the plant as they mature. New leaves will grow for a continuous supply throughout the season.
Lake Valley- Swiss Chard, Bright Lights
A bouquet of multicolored stems and wrinkled green and bronze leaves. Harvest tender young leaves for subtle, earthy flavor. A vigorous producer in all climates. It won an All America Selections award in 1998.
