Description

Build the courses of a medium-height retaining wall with the Belgard Terrace Wall Block, the split-stone field unit of the Terrace Wall system. Its natural, hand-laid look stacks into garden walls, raised beds, and terraces, then wraps cleanly at ends and outside corners with the matching Terrace Wall Corner. Each block is 6″ × 16″ × 12″ and is sold by the square foot of wall face. Belgard (Oldcastle APG) molds it from concrete with natural aggregates and through-body color, and backs it with a lifetime transferable limited warranty.

How Much Do You Need?

Each block covers about 0.67 square foot of wall face (a 6″-high × 16″-long face), so roughly 1.5 pieces make one square foot. Measure the height and length of your wall in feet, multiply for square footage, and add about 5% for cuts. Order corners separately for ends and turns. (Coverage based on nominal face dimensions — we’ll confirm at pickup.)

How to Install Terrace Wall Block

1. Excavate and compact a level, well-drained base trench, then set a leveling pad of crushed stone.
2. Lay the first course dead level — it sets the line for the whole wall.
3. Core-fill the hollow cores and backfill behind the wall with 3/4″ clean stone for drainage.
4. Stack and offset each course; add engineered geogrid if the wall exceeds 30″ or carries a surcharge.
5. Wrap ends and corners with Terrace Wall corners and finish with coordinating caps (sold separately).
