- Unless you live in a year-round warm climate, start seeds indoors eight to ten weeks before last spring frost. Keep soil temperature warm (75-80°F) for best germination. Be patient. Peppers can be slow to germinate. Harden off young plants 10 days before transplanting and plant outdoors in late spring after soil temperature has warmed.
- Harvest peppers when they reach 3 1/2″ and are green or ripe red.
