- Plant in a warm sunny location with rich moist soil. Basil loves heat and does not begin vigorous growth until night and day temperatures have warmed in late spring. Start outdoors in late spring or indoors four weeks early for transplants.
- Cut individual stems as needed. May be dried or frozen for later use.
