Description
Equi-Bute Paste is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug used for relieving pain or reducing fevers. Each 60 ml tube contains 20 grams of phenylbutazone. Give 1-2 grams orally per 500 lbs. body weight daily, not to exceed 4 gm daily. It is usually recommended that a relatively high dose of bute is given for the first 48 hours, and then reduced gradually to a maintenance dose. Prescription required.
