Heart Throb Chinese Dogwood makes an exceptional focal point in spring, when it covers itself in rich rose-pink bracts that last one to two months in mid to late spring — noticeably deeper in color than most Kousa dogwoods. After flowering, attractive pink berries arrive in early fall and the foliage shifts to a striking dark red.
