- Spinach is cold hardy and can be planted in very early spring and fall, or winter in mild climates. Plant in full sun to light shade in rich, non-acidic soil. Keep evenly moist until seeds germinate. Sow every 10 days for continuous harvest.
- Harvest individual leaves as needed, or cut the entire plant to 2″ above the ground to encourage a second harvest.
Lake Valley- Spinach, Olympia Hybrid
Slower to bolt (send up a seed head) than most other spinach, making it an excellent choice for year-round sowing. Productive, upright plants feature smooth leaves that are easy to wash. Resistant to downy mildew.
